16th August 2023 AMSA Big Breakfast

The Safety Beach Dromana Men’s Shed were asked to host the Big Breakfast on 23rd August 2023. This marks the 30th anniversary of Men’s Sheds in Australia.

As we hosted the Big Breakfast very successfully in 2018 and 2019 at our shed, it was no suprise to be asked again to host the event this year.

There are 26 displays taking place mainly outside and 2 displays inside the shed.

An article was written promoting this event that appeared in the Southern Peninsula News on Wednesday 16th August 2023. See below.

We were shown through one of the empty apartments that was being renovated for a new owner, which also included what costs are involved in moving and selling.

Morning tea was supplied in a large room where they have varying activities including Happy Hour.

26th January 2023 Australia Day Celebration

It was an early start to the day in preparation for Australia Day at the Dromana Foreshore in our usual location. We served egg and bacon rolls at no cost until 10.30 a.m. and then we started selling sausages and onions.

It was one of the busiest days we have had particularly on Australia Day where we made a healthy amount of money to help with funding the new extension to the shed.
